Featured Artist-Ansel Adams
Ansel Adams was born February 20, 1902, in San Francisco, California. He was the grandson of a very wealthy timber baron, he grew up in by the sand dunes of the the Golden Gate. When Ansel was four years old he broke his nose from the aftershock of the great earthquake and fire of 1906. Only a year later his family's money was gone because of the financial panic of 1907. He had a great love for nature and trying to capture the greatness of it, he would to on trials and go to state parks to and take amazing photographs. Ansel Easton Adams was an American landscape photographer and environmentalist known for his black-and-white images of the American West. I choose Ansel Adams to be my featured artist because I really like his work and I have a real connection with what he takes his photographs of. I really love the outdoors and nature and I love to take photographs of it.
